Bringing ECG expertise to every corner of the UK
Founded in 2004, Broomwell Healthwatch has grown to become the UK’s largest provider of ECG interpretation services. With over two decades of experience, we support medical centres nationwide with immediate, remote access to expert, consultant-led ECG analysis — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We understand the challenges GPs face when it comes to interpreting ECGs confidently and accurately. Many clinicians don’t encounter enough ECGs in day-to-day practice, often resulting in unnecessary referrals to secondary care. That’s where we come in.
Our service enables practices to carry out 12 lead ECGs and 24-hour Holters in-house, then securely transmit the traces to our Manchester-based cardiac centre for rapid interpretation. With a track record of working with a wide range of settings — from GP surgeries and virtual wards to oil rigs, prisons, and mental health hospitals — we offer trusted clinical support wherever it’s needed most.
Our clinical standards are set and overseen by a board of leading consultant cardiologists. All ECG interpretations are carried out by UK-practising cardiac clinicians and cardiology registrars, handpicked for their advanced ECG interpretation skills and frontline cardiology experience. Ongoing training, audits, and examinations ensure our team upholds the highest standards of care.
We work with over 100 NHS organisations, servicing GP surgeries, MIUs, walk-in centres, hospitals, and specialist facilities across the UK. No matter where you’re based, our team is ready to support your diagnostic needs with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
Our IT infrastructure is designed with resilience at its core — featuring multiple layers of redundancy for servers, telephony, and power. With robust systems and continuous monitoring, we ensure the service you rely on is always available when you need it most.
Broomwell Healthwatch is the UK’s leading ECG interpretation service for NHS primary care. We provide 24/7/365 consultant-led ECG analysis for GP surgeries, hospitals, MIUs, and walk-in centres, with over 2.5 million ECGs interpreted to date.
